(Medford, OR) - As an organization, Rogue Federal Credit Union prides itself on volunteerism and making a difference in the communities they serve. Recently, Rogue Federal was selected as the regional and then state winner of the 2008 Oregon Governor's Outstanding Employee Volunteer Program. This award-presented by Oregon Volunteers, State Commission for Voluntary Action and Service-recognizes volunteers and volunteer programs that have demonstrated dedication, commitment, and determination in promoting and supporting volunteerism and have worked to strengthen communities and improve the quality of life for Oregon residents through service.
Rogue Federal participates in numerous volunteer projects throughout Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties. Employees are encouraged to participate in at least four hours of community service every year. A large number of employees volunteer above and beyond that with some exceeding 100 hours of personal time each year. In 2007, Rogue Federal's staff dedication to making a difference in the community resulted in over 9,200 hours of volunteer service for projects such as Access Food repacking, United Way Day of Caring, and various painting projects to name only a few.
