(Medford, OR) - Located in the hub of North Medford at 1330 Poplar Drive Rogue Federal Credit Union (Rogue) opened their newest branch in Medford known as the North Plaza Branch highlighting the northeast corner of Poplar Drive and McAndrews, Rogue will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting this Thursday, October 29 at 2:00pm. Representatives from the City of Medford will be in attendance, as well as many other local dignitaries to witness the opening of this new facility. Rogue would like to welcome the community to stop by for a tour of their new facility and to enjoy some coffee and snacks presented by LOCAL Southern Oregon's vendors.
This beautiful credit union was built using local contractors and local suppliers, because it's a priority of Rogue's to support local businesses. During these hard economic times Rogue felt one thing that they could do was to expand their offerings to the community by opening a new branch to better serve their members and in turn put local people to work. Gene Pelham, President and CEO of Rogue, stated "Because of the strong financial foundation the credit union has built we are able to continue to expand our services and facilities to meet the growing needs of our members during these very tough economic times."
During the course of this project nearly 250 people were employed on the construction of this state-of-the-art facility. Rogue would like to thank local contractors who participated in the construction of this branch; S&B James Construction, Wurch Lath and Plaster, Pro Maintenance, Corey Robins Painting, Kogap Electric, Fashion Floors, Superior Wall & Acoustical Tile, and countless others.
Truly one of the things that makes this valley such a wonderful place to live is the sense of community you feel when you see local financial institutions work with local businesses to put Southern Oregon back on track to financial recovery. Living Local ... it's a ROGUE thing!
